What to Expect During a Stay at the Creole Dame B&B – IMPORTANT READ

Our policies are for the safety, protection and comfort of the owners and valued guests. We are an adult-oriented property. All accommodations are on the second floor. No elevator, handicap access or Bellhop. Children 13 and older are welcome with a legal guardian 21 years and older. No pets.

CHECK IN/OUT: Check In is 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm | Check Out is 11:00 am          

ARRIVAL TIMES: Arrivals outside the check-in window must be preapproved. A $25.00 per hour fee is charged for late check-in. Arrival and departure times are based on availability, management discretion and housekeeping schedules. Guests arriving separate must be preapproved and checked in by staff. Arrival after 8:00 pm will be considered a “no show” with no refund. Unauthorized late check out will incur a $25.00 per hour fee. All approvals must be in writing.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations made through a third-party are guaranteed a specific room type but not a particular room. To guarantee a specific room choice, you must book directly at creoledame.com. Guests can book on our website to avoid the $10.00 processing fee per reservation booked by phone or email.  

RESERVATION CHANGE/MODIFICATION: Reservation must include all guests at the time of booking. A $25 fee is required to change/modify a reservation date, room type and/or guest. 

GUESTS: All guests must be registered and hold a valid state issued ID or Driver’s License. A valid credit or debit card is required. Visitors accessing the property are considered guests and will incur a $25 per night fee.

LOST KEYS: A replacement fee of $350.00 will be charged for lost skeleton keys. 

CHILDREN AND PET POLICIES: We welcome children 13 – 17 years old accompanied with an adult 21 years or older. Pets are not allowed due to owner’s allergies. Guest must consider this policy before booking. No refunds will be issued. 

RATES: Rates are based on double occupancy and are subject to change without notice. We have a two-night or three-night minimum stay policy. One-night stay may be available and at management discretion. The King and Queen suites sleeps 2, and the Quad, and one bedroom apartment can sleep up to 4. There is a $25.00 fee per night for each additional guest in the Quad and One Bedroom Apartment that sleeps up to 4. 

PAYMENT METHOD: We accept VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, and bank-issued Debit Cards. PayPal processing fee is 2.9%. A $50 to $150 refundable hold fee may be charged. NO CASH, Cashier’s Check or Personal Checks. Business checks must clear 72 hours prior to the check in date. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Once your room is reserved the Inn has a non-refundable policy, as our accommodations are limited. In the event of an Act of Nature or unexpected life event, or if you cancel your booking, you will not get a refund or credit to use for a future stay. This policy will apply regardless of COVID-19, subject to any local consumer laws. A $25.00 processing fee is charged on any changes to reservations. 

BREAKFAST: Breakfast is served one-hour daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Service requests outside our normal hours will incur a fee of $25.00 per hour with a minimum 2-hours. Please notify us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of your booking. We accommodate special requests with a 48 hour notice. Guest who opt out of breakfast must notify us by email or text by 10:00 PM the night before, or a $15.00 fee will be charged per guest, per day. 

DINING & EATING: Eating in the Lounge and Dining areas are allowed. No food or eating in rooms. A $25.00 fee will be charge for each occurrence. Strictly enforced. 

AFTER HOURS SERVICE: Our hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are up bright and early at 6:00 AM to prepare breakfast for our guests. A fee of $25.00 per hour will be charged for after hours services, including late check ins and lock outs. 

DAMAGES, BROKEN, LOST, MISSING ITEMS:  A replacement fee is charged for damaged, broken, lost or missing items, including for linens stained and/or soiled beyond removal. 

PARKING: Guest parking is available for one two-axle vehicle per reservation or room. Additional guest vehicle parking may be available for a $25 charge per vehicle. Guest staying at Emma Jean Retreat must park in the circular driveway in front of the carriage house. A $50 violation fee will be charged to your account if you block the garage or park in unauthorized areas. 

SMOKING: Creole Dame is a Non-Smoking Property. The Inn has a $350.00 smoking fine for indoors and $150.00 smoking fine for outdoors or anywhere on the grounds. No smoking, no candles, no vaping, no e-cigarettes, no incense of any kind on the property. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Guests must consider this policy before booking. No refunds will be issued. 

FIREARM: Firearm is prohibited. Law enforcement and military personnel must contact us in advance for instructions. Violation of this policy will incur a $500.00 fee. 

DRUGS: Illegal drugs are not allowed, including medicinal marijuana. Guests who arrive with the scent of marijuana will be refused service with no refund.

AUTO-COLLECT: At the time of booking, 100% of the reservation balance will be collected along with a $250.00 REFUNDABLE deposit to cover any potential damages or incidental expenses that may occur during the stay. Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected.

If evidence of smoking, pets, glitter/confetti or vomit is found in the room, we reserve the right to charge a $350.00 violation fee.

Guests are required to adhere to all policies and respect our property, and to respect other guests and their property. Failure to comply will result in reservation cancellation with no refund. 

We reserve the right to refuse service without explanation and to direct disorderly guests to leave no refund.

LOST, HARM OR DAMAGE:

By acceptance of these policies, Guests agree to indemnify, shield, and preserve innocent the proprietors of Creole Dame Bed & Breakfast, and its representatives from all claims, disputes, litigation, judgments, costs, and lawyer charges ensuing from loss, harm, or damage to guests.

Guests or their private property, inclusive of vehicles, are not insured by the property owners against loss or harm due to fire, theft, vandalism, rain, water, crook or negligent acts of others, or any different cause. We cannot take responsibility for items or property left behind. Consider our policies prior to making your reservation.
